I’ve been listening to post-rock for a couple of years now and I think it all started with “Rock Action” by Mogwai. After that came Caspian, Explosions in the Sky and Godspeed You! Black Emperor – bands every post-rock fan will obciously know.

And while I’m not sure if there is a real German post-rock scene at the moment, I’m happy that I’ve discovered a guy called Skeeter.

This young musician lives in Hannover and his output gives me all the things I like about this kind of music.

Quiet at first, and then things get louder. Heavy guitars for culminations, some soft electronics in between. Just like in “Growing Demands”, a great example Skeeter’s talents. You might discover that all that you needed was some beautiful instrumental post-rock music as a soundtrack for your day, or for your life.
