Leave it to Space Onigiri to churn out bedroom-spun indie-rock anthems that sound diffused in a scrapbook filter.

Their debut single “Elude” – from their 3-track EP “OK” – conveys wounded feelings over gentle, tempered guitars and laid-back drums, picking up the broken pieces and turning it into something promising and beautiful.

The sonic details here are fairly limited, but the sparseness doesn’t feel empty. If Space Onigiri keeps it up at this rate, expect them to rip it all up in the upcoming releases and surprise us.
