Rewarded by the 2018 Inrocks Lab Jury Prize, the French duo Terrenoire have released three clips to date with the most recent “Je bois tout seul”.

With this follow-up to the meditative singles “Silence” and “Allons Là-bas”, the two brothers add one more chapter to their cinematographic stories with the video “Je bois tout seul”. It is more dance-oriented, but uses the same esthetic codes, storytelling and visual imagery Terretoire are now known for.

Mixing urban music, French chanson’s poetry and soulful electronic production, evoking nocturnal post-dubstep and dream pop introspections from the likes of James Blake or Beach House, Théo and Raphael create a cohesive body of work that propels us into fluffy and vaporous atmospheres.

“Je bois tout seul” succeeds brilliantly in metamorphosing those soft textures into energetic – but nonetheless smooth – alternative RnB, powered by a hypnotic beat. We can’t wait for the 4th episode.
