With their previous albums, “Undraland” and “Um stund”, Valdimar has won both critical acclaim and huge popularity in Iceland.
Their third full-length release, “Batnar útsýnið”, seems to be more restrained and mellow, overflowing with haunting melodies sung by Valdimar Guðmundsson’s unmistakable voice.
Yet, employing the full-band sound complete with brass section and electronics, the music is immensely rich and can still get pretty epic.
