Subtle electronics, distinctive vocals, jazzy beats – and a fantastic video from Slovenian trio YGT.

We introduced this band at beehype back in 2015 when they still operated under the full name Your Gay Thoughts. The band underwent some changes in the years and is back to the operational musical duo of two prominent underground Slovene producers, while the live component features visuals by Mina Fina.

YGT’s music is subtle electronics with distinctive vocals hovering over the jazzy influenced beats. The band attracted quite some interest from foreign labels through the years, with this one being thrown into the world via the Canadian brand King Deluxe.

The video for the track is a must see. Surreal landscapes were made by the New York based artist Sam Mason. “Sinking Ship” is a computer generated film, created through 3D scanning, motion capture and simulation.
