Stemming from Kanagawa, currently based in Tokyo, post-rock trio miaou recently released a new EP “Drops” on cassette and download.

Dreamy, floating electronica spreads over the inner space like flourishing flowers. In such a landscape, I imagine that cats are running around. (As you might now, miaou is a cat-like sound.)

They also run independent label Teto Records, which has released music by Bobby And Blumm, Sui Zhen and more. They connect Japan and other parts of the globe to invite foreign musicians to play with them in Japan.

“Drops” EP is already available on Spotify and iTunes, and here’s the 6-minute opening track titled “Where We Are”.
