Ana Zhdanova

Nine pieces of atmospheric electronic pop from Belarusian singer and music producer Ana Zhdanova.

Minsk-based indie singer/songwriter Ana Zhdanova has been around for quite a while with several noticeable Belarusian indie pop / electronic projects.

But it always seemed she’s capable of much more than Lilac or Bonehider delivered. And her debut solo record “Appetiizer” does just that.

It’s a well-built indie pop / electronic record, with simple yet melodic songs, accessible yet diverse arrangements working well with Ana’s enjoyable voice.

“Shaming Pool” and other dynamic tracks show it perfectly well.

Despite mixing different influences, the album is absolutely solid and effortless at the same time.

At times it’s really atmospheric, like in the wonderful closing track “Zeitgiest”, starting with Ana’s singing to the sound of the seashore.

Stream “Appetiizer” LP on Soundcloud and Bandcamp.
