Atmospheric live performance from Tbilisi-based trip-hop quintet Gravity Project.
Gravity Project have been around for quite some time already, coming to life in 2011. Presently, it’s a five-piece outfit fronted by two charismatic performers – Ninutsa Gabisonia on vocals and Tato Rusia, a rapper, also a part of MokuMoku.
The groups also features Nika Tsereteli on keyboards and sampling (a seasoned musician on alternative music scene, having been a member of Afternoon Version in the nineties), Nodar Kotrikadze on trumpet, and Lasha Abashmadze on bass.
Their music serves the band name right: an infectious, attractive mix of electronic styles, mostly centered on (but not limited to) trip-hop that can lull and suddenly explode with energy. Consistently great live, Gravity Project have already played at Tbilisi Open Air, the biggest music festival in Caucasus, twice and their activity shows no signs of decline.
