A long-time dentist from Sudanese capital, Khartoum, the producer Sufyan Ali a.k.a. Sufyvn combines vintage African mixtapes with futuristic electronica.
On his latest effort, “Pseudarhythm, Vol. 2”, released in February, Sufyvn recycles traditional Sudanese and East African melodies in a hip-hop fashion and the result is just as ambiguous and hard to categorize as you could expect from such mixture.
While you can stream the whole album here, below is one of our favourite tracks off this unique work, “Fragment”, which in less than two minutes will provide you experiences worth an hour.
