As a new (male) drummer has joined the (female) trio tricot, now they are touring the US with TTNG, POLYPHIA, and CHON.
Their trademark is an irregular band ensemble with, consitently, good melodies and choruses inspired by Japanese popular music. Imagine that J-Rock queen Sheena Ringo plays with math rock originator American Football. You must see tricot if you like both musicians.
On their new single “Potage”, they compared love to caramel with potage color which might have a complicated taste. They sing that we often break promises, nothing can bind our heart, but still – I will give you all my life. tricot keep telling us about the difficulty and complexity of love.
