It is obvious that there are global currents, influences and colorations in Swiss rap. The collaboration of Baze and Dejot has far-reaching roots. Since 2018, Dejot has joined Baze’s band and their joint EP “Morn Isch Gratis” is the soundtrack of a journey through Kurdistan and the inner life.
The result is a wistful EP with plenty of reverb, smooth bass and warm timbres making the seven tracks an enjoyable experience.
While the lyrics represent reflections on our brief existence and fears of loss, the sounds are a deft blend of floating reveries and grounded realities.
