Earlier this summer, Fadi Tabbal and myself started working on what we envisioned would be the 6th and final volume of The Ruptured Sessions, a series of live recordings we started producing in the studios of Radio Lebanon in 2008.

Over time, the Ruptured compilation series has featured some of the most talented and our favorite Lebanese musicians, and this present volume is no exception.

There are live versions of cherished songs by Alko B, The Incompetents, Kinematik, Postcards, Safar, The Wanton Bishops, Who Killed Bruce Lee, and Youmna Saba. There are never-released-before tracks by Charlie Rayne, Cosmic Analog Ensemble, and El Rass & Munma.

We couldn’t think of a more appropriate time to release this beautiful collection. All of its sales (via Bandcamp) will be forwarded to local charities working on providing relief to those musicians most harmed by the deadly blast of August 4th.
