Nanook

One of the most beloved bands in Greenland, Nanook are an indie rock five-piece with a knack for catchy tunes.

Taking their name from the Polar Bear, a powerful deity in the Inuit mythology, the group’s music is, contrarily, rather cheerful and gentle, exhibiting strong melodic qualities and discreet folk elements.

“Qiimassutissarput Aajuna”, like all other songs on their latest album, “Pissaaneqaqisut”, is sung in their native tongue.
