From Sweden’s best indie-label Adrian Recordings, Hey Elbow raised in Malmö in 2013 and with their recent debut album is by far one of the best things from Sweden this year.

The single “Ruth” is massive, huge, gigantic and everything else that’s bigger than large. You can tell that the three-piece group know what they want, with roots in jazz music and musical education they got both the knowledge and the strength to do whatever they want.

“Ruth” is all that Hey Elbow is about. Pure beauty mixed with noise and verses of gold and a chorus of metal. 2 minutes and 43 seconds of life and death. That surely makes both Hey Elbow and the song larger than life.
