Adda Kaleh just launched an EP called “ID”, through the multimedia platform infinitexpansion.net. The EP is made, produced and marketed DIY style.
The video for “Player Karma”, part of “ID”, is a rough, highly emotional and powerful cybertreatment of a call for a digital gender equality utopia – to say just 10% about it.
Only four or five sources of sound and the eerie voice of Alexandra Pirici (the multimedia artist, dancer, singer, cultural activist behind Adda Kaleh) create an alternative approach to a socially conscious pop music, at a time when nobody thought that jungle could be a valid option and a powerful medium. Simply amazing.
You can stream “ID” in its entirety on Soundcloud. Adda Kaleh is also on Facebook.
