In her latest ballad, Jasmin Moallem (יסמין מועלם) sums up what she really wants from life.
Jasmin’s debut album “Lion” was our Israeli expert’s top recommendation of 2020. It was a spectacular and beautiful demonstration of how pop music still can remain fresh and direct while mixing a range of influences from around the music spectrum, and around the world – or at least the region.
But what kept us glued to that album was Jasmin’s velvety voice, and it’s also true about her latest single “יחפים” (“Barefoot”), a three minute ballad about being honest towards yourself and towards others, about dropping finally your all masks (except FFP3).
It’s also a song about the desire to live a simple life, Jasmin explained herself, which is centered around “family, home, closeness, love, joy, music”. An innocent and simple wish, something all of us could use especially in this time of the year.
