The moment Nabil Salameh’s voice enters the contemplative piano intro of the track “Bombay Salam” your ears might fall into your heart. The powerful, and melancholic harmony between Nabil’s vocals and the keys are as wondrous and painful as the song’s themes of birds and wandering.
Born in Tripoli to Palestinian parents, Nabil Salameh now lives in Italy where he performs with his band Radiodervish alongside Italian musician, Michele Lobaccaro.
Their music is an evocative journey through displacement, migration, and finding a home through music as both Lobaccaro and Salameh consider themselves to be pilgrims who “take their sticks with them and set off on a journey by sea singing the songs of peace and bridging the gaps between cultures.”
