Latest single from Paola Navarrete comes with a beautiful video – and with a message.
Paola Navarrete is one of our favourite voices in Ecuador, and she tends to visit our year-end best-of features quite regularly (yes, we’re hoping for another full-length album).
But her latest single, “Única”, is not just another beautiful song from this outstanding songwriter and singer. Answering some very current problems that the whole world is discussing, protesting and hopefully finding solutions, Paola dedicates this single to love that ignores the colour of skin, nationality, and sexual orientation.
“Me haces sentir única,” she sings in the chorus – “You make me feel unique”. Together with an outstanding music video, directed by Felipe Maqui, “Única” itself is a unique hymn to women and femininity.
