Planes is a four-piece band hailing from Bogotá, Colombia. Their sound is described as “universal studies”, combining tendencies of modern indie pop, 80’s new wave and tropicalia.
Their debut album, “Las Americas”, was released a few months ago after creating some buzz last year with a series of demos that captivated listeners and critics.
Here’s an extract off of “Las Americas”, “Pets” – a song about seeing love as a violent battlefield, with some hooks out of champeta (a rhythm of Colombian Caribbean coasts) and psychedelia.
You can find more music from Planes on their Bandcamp, or follow them on Facebook and Twitter.
