“Anni di Piombo” means “Years of Lead”, referring to the Italian period between 70s and early 80s, which was marked by a wave of terrorism carried out by both right- and left-wing paramilitary groups. Virginiana Miller, an alternative-rock band from Livorno (Leghorn), have written this song to commemorate the fears and anxieties of that time in a form of a romantic and reassuring love letter.
