When I summed up 2014, Amason probably held the safest place on the best-of list with the single “Ålen”. Last month they released their new album “Sky City”, and I actually love when we get the best album of the year as early as January.

Amason is a super-group, like The Travelling Willburys, but in 2015. With the lovely charisma and voice of Amanda Bergman (also known as Idiot Wind) and with people like Pontus Winnberg (a third of Miike Snow and famous producer for artists like Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez etc.), his brother Petter Winnberg and Nils Thörnqvist from the lovely indie band Little Majorette, and Gustav Ejstes (from the psychedelic rock-group Dungen).

As I said, a super-group.

“Kelly” is Amason’s latest single and this song grows on you slowly, slowly. It’s the refined definition of a sweet and adorable pop-song. Actually, all songs on the new album are adorable and you can trust me when I say that this is the best thing in Sweden since, yeah, maybe not since Broder Daniel, but you know what I mean.
