Pi

Futuristic and enjoyable at the same time, the new album from Pi is a departure from traditional pop-rock-folk sound.

About two and a half years ago, we introduced π (Ivana Picek) as one of the most promising acts from Croatia. Today we can say this Zagreb-based artist is not promising anymore, she is one of the most intriguing acts.

Earlier this year, she has released a new 12-track album called “☠ (časna lubanjska)“, which suggests inspirations like Bon Iver, Joanna Newsom and Grimes might be at the back of this material.

“暗い森 (mračna šuma)”, meaning “Dark Forest”, is the lead single and the first video off Pi’s new album, with a very futuristic and enjoyable sound and equally ambiguous atmosphere. Ivana is currently singing in several great projects, but π is an intriguing departure from traditional pop-rock-folk sound.
